settling in

Thank you to everyone who has kept us in your prayers and sent me your thoughts and well wishes. It's been good to walk through these moments slowly and fully engaged - instead of stuffing and trying to pull myself up by my bootstraps...so to say.

Hubster and I talk, laugh and cry here and there. My favorite thing to do these days...when he's annoying me by being at home 24/7 is to say, "getta job already!" yeah. we laugh.

A few days of minimal requirements - it's let me breathe and catch up around the house. Does anyone besides my aunt know what happens in a yard in two weeks? Yes, it's been mowed and watered. But weeds? oy.

Susan came to the ceremony and stayed for about 48 hours. Now that I no longer go to Kansas once a month we just don't see each other that often. We had some catching up to do. Much laughter and good tears. It's hard to believe that Paul has been gone almost a year. *sigh*

I think I actually might have "plans" now that my homeschooling, military wife bit is over. I've applied to teach two classes at our homeschool co op. (have I told you about this yet? I forget where I left off) Constitutional Law and Starting Points. Starting Points - no brainer - did it with both my kids. Con Law??!! ACK!!!!

If I even studied this for 2.4 second in High School I've completely forgotten everything that I knew. It sorta started with this book. Via my mom (thanks mom!) and Glenn Beck. (okay, am I going to get alot of liberal wacko's googling my blog now?)

Amazing book.

And I'll be using Michael Ferris, Esq's book as well. Constitutional Law for Enlightened Citizens

Also planning on assisting the SALT speech and debate coach. Should all be very interesting.

For the hubster - he's ex-boss is still checking every day on the paperwork - calling down to Texas. Still says he desperately needs my man to make his boat float. All good and happy about that - I just don't trust the military/govt system. Can we say paperwork nightmare?

Finally some art work. Life has sucked every creative cell out of me. These took me TWO DAYS! can you believe that? I'm still not ecstatic.

Waiting for Auntee to download retirement photos - have plans to get about scrapping those. Oh. We now have the video of the ceremony and we have the photo/video montage of Marcel that was played at the ceremony. If you would like copies of either of these DVDs let me know. I'd be happy to share.

can't leave you without some cat laugther

peace peoples!
